Helping widows in NW Atlanta write their story of hope.

Our Story

Widowhood can be exhausting. It can be overwhelming. It can feel like a roller coaster of emotions. In addition to grieving the loss of their husbands, widows are suddenly faced with what feels like hundreds of decisions to make and tasks to accomplish.

While some have friends and family that rally around them during the toughest days of their journey, others don’t. And when the support systems fade as seasons of life change, some widows are left feeling alone and without hope.

As a young-widowed single mom, I knew those feelings all too well. When I lost my husband at the age of 30, everything I thought I knew about my life changed in an instant. Every dream I had for our future was suddenly gone. I was exhausted by grief and overwhelmed by all the things I suddenly had to tackle. Though I had a strong support system, I still felt lost. The days were long and the nights were lonely. I didn’t know where to turn for help or where to find people who understood this new chapter I suddenly found myself in.

This ministry was born out of my own story, and the stories of so many other widows I have met on my journey.

We are here to provide widows with the care and resources they need to find hope.
